Microsoft has signed up Computer Associates (CA) as the latest partner in its Protect Your PC antivirus campaign.
The campaign is designed to help consumers understand the simple measures they can take to reduce threats from viruses and other malicious attacks.
CA has promised to offer Windows users its eTrust EZ Armor consumer antivirus and firewall desktop security suite, including free updates and signatures, for a year.
Tom Button, corporate vice president of the Windows division at Microsoft, said: "Support from key industry leaders such as CA enhances the work we are doing through programmes such as Protect Your PC to make security protections easier to enable for customers."
