by James Harding in Silicon Valley
Network security company C2net Software has set up in Europe after taking over some staff and the business previously handled by its agent, UK Web.
UK Web will continue to sell C2net products outside North America and Europe but C2net will assume responsibility for its customers who bought Stronghold and Safe Passage products from UK Web.
Mark Cox, formerly technical director at UK Web, has become managing director of C2net Europe, based in Leeds. Sameer Parekh, president of C2net, said: "In co-operation with UK Web, we have hired all UK Web employees who were directly involved with our products, the Apache Web server and the Apache Week newsletter."
