Novell is to release a beta version of Groupwise 5.2 on 4 June, barely a month after the appearance of release 5.1.
Version 5.2 of the groupware product, codenamed Jolt, will include enhanced workflow and imaging features plus support for the LDAP directory standard on both the client and server. Novell is keen to include extensive Internet support in the software to help it compete with Internet-friendly rival products from Netscape, Lotus and Microsoft. The product is expected to ship in September.
