Lucent has launched IP Exchange Systems, the latest in a range of products to help firms merge their voice, data and fax traffic over their Lan, Wan or the Internet.
Aimed at small to medium sized businesses, the IP Exchange includes the Exchange Comm system for companies with single or multiple locations, and Exchange Link, a package for small businesses.
Exchange Comm includes call manager software, which provides call routing and PBX-like telephony features. an adapter to convert telephone and fax machines into IP clients, and an IP telephony gateway, which connects the system to the PSTN.
The Exchange Link can transport voice, data and fax traffic to and from the PSTN through a service provider's gateway.
