Dell is expanding its manufacturing facility in Limerick, Ireland for the second time this year and building a new factory in Austin. Texas. The Limerick plant has been in operation since 1991 and has already created 1,100 jobs. With the addition of a further 7,500 square metres of space the factory has now expanded to 35,000 square feet and there should be a further 100 jobs created. The Limerick plant builds the entire Dell range to service European and African customers. The company also has a plant in Penang, Malaysia to serve Asia-Pacific clients.
