Enterprise-wide security firm Security Dynamics announced last week that its SecurID and ACE/Server technologies are now interoperable with Raptor's Eagle NT firewall. Network managers or Web masters can now use the technologies with Eagle NT to prevent unauthorised access.
SecurID, now a mere two months old, can positively identify a user's ID when they log onto a site. John Botting, Security Dynamics' UK general manager, said: "SecurID user authentification for the Eagle NT firewall meets the need for maximum Internet security."
EagleNT is the dominant NT firewall and supports the NT domain Controller for user names and attributes. It also provides clever surveillance of a site in the form of "real time suspicious activity monitoring." This big brother approach to security on the internet will alert a Web master to dodgy activity via either an alarm or a real-time report.
Raptor will be offering ACE/Server and SecurID compatibility in its NT Firewall by January next year.
