Next time you shop at the Levi Strauss online store do not be surprised if it recommends a new style specially for you.
Levi?s is using Andromedia?s Likeminds technology to make purchase suggestions to online customers. The software uses predictive modelling technology to analyse a customer?s behaviour and preferences to make product recommendations.
In a unique application, called Style Finder, the Levi's site uses the Likeminds technology to give customers recommendations about the latest Levi's looks that fit well with their personal style, based on how they answer a series of questions about music, fashion and their social lives.
According to Levi Strauss, 74 per cent of customers who have used the technology said the clothing recommendations were correct. The Levi's online store represents the first personalisation system in the fashion industry for filtering ecommerce, a spokesperson for Andromedia said.
