IT security provide Axent has acquired UK based Passgo Technologies in a deal worth $50 million.
Passgo specialises in centralised user access and control, including single sign on and password synchronisation products, while Axent provides security management products including firewalls, intrusion detection and authentication.
Axent said it would continue to support current Passgo products for the time being. The company is planning to integrate Passgo's products with its own resource management software.
