Paxdata Networks has launched VIPER (Voice Integrated Packet Exchange Routing) which allows voice, fax and LAN traffic to share the same ISDN B channel. Based on Fast Packet technology which allows both data and packet voice/fax to share bandwidth on the same link, VIPER incorporates the latest DSP based voice compression standards. VIPER incorporates an IP/IPX router with multiple interfaces for LAN, WAN and network connection and provides a 10baseT port for LAN connection and basic rate ISDN. VIPER costs #1,000 and is available now.
