Over 35,000 copies of ObjectStore PSE, the freeware version of Object Design's low end-object database, were downloaded between January and October 1997, the company has revealed. The downloads came through its own Web site and through bundling agreements with strategic partners including Netscape, Microsoft, Borland, Sun and Symantec. Both Object Design products, PSE and PSE Pro for Java, are designed to allow Java developers to store and manage Java applications and applets more easily.
