Visitors to UK portal Excite will be able to apply for credit cards and mortgages online through a partnership with Egg, Prudential's Internet bank.
The £1 million plus deal will give Excite users easy access to Egg’s Internet credit card which is to be launched later this year.
In addition to financial services, visitors to Excite’s 'money and investing' channel will be able to learn how to save money on taxes, organise pensions and get share quotes online.
"Our deal with Excite is crucial to our business," commented Wendy Tan, ecommerce partnerships manager at Egg. "We need to targe the new and fast growing Internet generation by fostering strong ecommerce partnerships to benefit our customers."
"Egg will be benefiting from Excite’s remarkable traffic and we are convinced that the deal will be invaluable to both parties," added Tan.
Excite is presently the second most popular Web portal in the UK, according to Forrester Research.
