Media 100 spin-off Data Translation suffered increasing losses and falling sales during its third quarter to 31 August.
The video, data and imaging product developer has begun trying to crack the emerging low end market for its market but lost $942,000 in its Q3, a greater deficit than last year's $714,000. Its sales fell slightly from $5.10 million to $5.07 million over the same period.
President and CEO Fred Molinari said the company?s Broadway Beginner digital video product, launched in July, should boost sales. In a submission to US financial authorities, the company said: "Sales from the company?s data acquisition and imaging products were down from the previous year?s third quarter mainly due to lower international sales."
