Borland has started shipping version 7.0 of its Visual dBase development tool for Windows 95 and NT. The product includes enhanced ActiveX support, a new compiler and report writer, and new tools for managing relationships between objects, visual and database components. Borland has also integrated the RAD Workbench IDE into the upgrade. IDE, which is incorporated into Borland's other tools, includes Project Explorer for visually managing application files and a Visual SQL Builder. The product starts at $349.95, but existing users can upgrade for $199.95.
