NET Europe has unveiled a range of systems that provide telecomms carriers and corporates with ATM access for many types of data.
Among the announcements is Promina 800, which provides ATM access for near-PSTN quality compressed voice, frame relay, legacy and Lan data, and ISDN traffic. It can also link to frame relay and time-division multiplexing systems.
NET also announced the Prime Switch 100 Multiprotocol Access System family, which links to public and private ISDN services. It supports voice and data applications including voice, fax, Lan-to-Lan connections, image transfer and videoconferencing. It can also transport ISDN traffic onto Promina 800.
Also released was Prime Voice, a voice compression product with a six-port card for locations with smaller traffic requirements. It comes with an ISDN Basic Rate Interface module for Promina. It provides 8Kbps compression, so that eight voice calls can run over a single 64Kbps circuit.
NET has also added the Frame Xpress 1000 frame relay access switch to its product range. It aggregates and adapts digital and analogue voice, data and fax traffic for frame relay access to public frame relay services and enterprise networks.
