EDS has announced plans to lay off 5,200 workers, in restructuring designed to increase margins by 10% and cut costs by $1 billion (#617 million).
The company recently said its revenue was up 10% from last year, but profit dropped 14%. The company will also consolidate its Ecommerce services into one division called E-Business Solutions. UK representatives were unavailable for comment.
