Those little beasties at Demon will be wowing audiences later this month with the announcement that it is giving two real audio streams away for its u10 a month customers. According to Demon, no other ISP in the world offers this facility.
The real audio streams allow sound to be delivered to Web pages in tightly squeezed packets so data transfer is kept at an optimum rate.
James Gardiner, Demon's PR manager, said: "Sound has always been the most difficult thing to do on the Web. Streaming uses a little bit of bandwidth at a time and is particularly useful for training, presentations and so on." www.Demon.net.
