Ionica, which provides telecomms services in the UK using radio waves instead of wire or cables, wants to float on the London Stock Exchange. It wants extra funds to help create a national network to compete with BT in the residential and business markets.
The company launched its services in the eastern region last year and began providing services in the Midlands last February. By May it had connected around 22,000 customers with a further 2,000 to be connected.
