Mike Harrison, Informix?s vice president of Northern Europe and UK managing director, left the company on Monday.
Barbara Stanley, Informix?s UK marketing director, refused to comment on the situation, adding she was unaware of rumours that headhunters were also looking for a European marketing director for the organisation.
Harrison?s departure follows the appointment of Walter Koenigseder, former head of the database supplier?s German subsidiary to the position of vice president of Europe on 20 January.
Koenigseder will replace Ken Coulter, who became head of worldwide operations at Informix at the back end of last year.
Harrison was also believed to be in the running for the European job and the situation would appear to mirror that of two years ago, when he left after Oracle appointed Luek van den Boog as head of Europe.
