Computacenter's distribution arm, CCD, has announced an online ordering service for resellers, providing them with stock availability and pricing information over the Internet.
The company said this would give it a competitive advantage over other distributors, since dealers could place orders with the certainty that the kit was in stock.
Any dealer can access the service via a browser to gain information, but must establish a 'Dealer Profile' in order to place orders, online or by telephone. They then receive a password and their own home page within the system, which takes them to information that is tailored to their business.
