Fractal Images has released a beta upgrade of its Usenet reader with improved HTML compatibility and increased speed. The beta of WebReader 2.0 supports HTML 3.2 and employs a new graphical interface based on Sun's Swing APIs. WebReader, which is written in Java and runs on any Java-enabled system, allows users to post HTML pages to newsgroups by automatically converting the HTML to ASCII. The product also eliminates the extra step of having to click on a hyperlink to view the HTML page by automatically and transparently rendering the HTML. www.fractals.com/webreader.
