Esprit Telecom, the independent European telco, saw its third quarter pre-tax losses soar to $13.6 million, compared to $2.6 million last year.
Revenue increased 61 per cent to $21.7 million from $13.5 million.
During the quarter, Esprit acquired German operator Plus Net, which now represents 25 per cent of Esprit's revenues. Esprit also opened the first ring of its Paris to London route. The telco is expanding its network to the rest of Europe over the next 15 months.
