Resellers with ecommerce expertise will get discounts from Ipswitch Networks as part of a US partner scheme launched by the vendor.
The company did not say whether it will allow European Vars to join the scheme, which will be set up initially with only US resellers. Ipswitch?s premier partner programme is intended to extend its existing Web Var scheme to larger Vars and Internet service providers, offering access to Ipswitch?s Extranet, product discounts and leads, in return for a $995 joining fee.
Brian Landrigan, sales director at Ipswitch, said the scheme is the next step in the company?s appeal to the reseller channel. "We expect to sign up to 150 resellers by the end of 1998," he said.
