Chip company Cypress Semiconductor said that it will fail to turn in the profits and sales it expected in its fourth quarter. It had expected to sell $150 million of products but now expects that figure to be closer to $140 million. Its shares fell by 10 per cent to $7.75 on the news. Cypress blamed the situation on lateness in making a fabrication plant.
