The US House of Representatives has passed legislation that enables companies to share Year 2000 information. The Year 2000 Information and Readiness Disclosure Act introduces protection in the form of limited liability, allowing companies to discuss and share Year 2000 problems, approaches, and best practice. However, it does not extend to misleading consumers or selling faulty products.
