Sapiens International has seen its year end profits hit after having to pay out $8.7 million to settle a previous class action suit. For the year ended 31 December 1996, the development tools supplier also turned in flat revenues, increasing only six per cent to $39 million. Net losses amounted to $6.6 million after the charge, compared with profits of $345,000 in the comparable period last year. This followed an extraordinary gain of $15.9 million in 1995 and restructuring charges of $4.5 million.
