Scottish Telecom has disposed of its north of the border image, by renaming itself Thus.
Under its new name, Thus says it plans to offer Internet, data, telephony and call centre services to customers across the UK.
"Thus is a new kind of communications company. It is the new identity of Scottish Telecom, and because of its business background, it is in a position to provide integrated solutions designed to embrace the new future," the company said on its Web site.
"Thus aspires to be one of Britain's most dynamic communications companies," is continued.
However, Thus is facing a problem experienced by many new companies, or old ones with new names - it can't get its domain name.
Both Thus.com and Thus.co.uk have gone and the telco has settled for the lengthy www.let-it-be-thus.com.
