AT&T and Mercury are the first carriers to raise the speed limit for transatlantic ISDN services to T1 (1.536Mbps).
The two carriers already offer 385Kbps ISDN between the US and the UK. The service is offered by Mercury under the Switch Band name and by AT&T as Global ISDN Service. Customers using the T1 service are charged only for the duration of the call, excluding access charges.
