Acer America is to sell its full range of commercial PCs, notebooks and servers through the Ingram Alliance, a reseller programme from distributor Ingram Micro.
Acer believes the new partnership will help it penetrate large US corporates. The Alliance offers volume purchase terms and help with bids, training and service for its resellers, and is largely targeted at corporate deals.
"Our focus at Acer America is on the corporate commercial business," commented president Ronald Chwang. "We believe that one of the best ways to reach this audience and ensure that Acer is one of the corporate brands that makes the shortlist is through the corporate reseller."
The products involved in the Acer-Ingram deal are the Acerpower business PCs, Acer-Altos servers and Acernote multimedia notebooks.
