The first tax-free UK betting site opened last week. The founders claim it offers the most competitive odds on all major sporting events, 24 hours a day, and is fully regulated. The service includes bets on football, horse racing, cricket, golf, tennis, F1, boxing, rugby union and league, NFL, baseball, ice hockey and basketball. The site is the brainchild of Mark Blandford, who runs the site from the tax haven of Alderney. He points out the market for online gambling is set to explode, rising to over #6 billion by 2002.
