Following its appointment of Intel's David House as chief executive, Bay Networks has tapped the chipmaker's vice president of corporate marketing, David Shrigley, to head up sales, service and marketing.
At Intel, House worked closely with Shrigley, who was at the chip company for 18 years. In a statement, he called him "one of the most creative and aggressive sales and marketing executives in high technology". The two men were behind the 'Intel Inside' branding and marketing campaign, one of the most successful in commercial history.
