According to two new studies, confidence is growing in the Internet as an advertising medium. According to the Electronic Advertising & Marketplace Report, ad revenue on the web in the third quarter, ended 30 September, totaled $169.8 million, up 27.4% from the second quarter. The report says results were significant not only because of the strong increase, but also because it defied the usual slump in summer advertising, showing rising advertiser confidence. The Internet Advertising Bureau found that 30% of all Internet ads in the second quarter were for consumer brands.
