IBM has officially decided to take Windows NT seriously, despite its decision last week to drop support for the operating system on its PowerPC architecture because of lack of volume sales.
Big Blue has appointed Jocelyn Attal, former vice president of international sales and marketing at Novell, to the newly created position of vice president of NT marketing. Attal will report to Steve Mills, general manager of IBM?s software solutions division.
