BT has invested in a multi-billion dollar system from Hewlett-Packard to help synchronise its networks. The system will help to prevent problems such as modem disconnections and fax interruptions, which are caused by bad synchronisation. Such errors occur as networks become faster, explained an HP spokesperson. HP will also provide a global positioning system as part of the deal.
