Ericsson plans to acquire the mobile network planning software and field measurement systems divisions of US based wireless infrastructure specialist LCC International for $22 million.
Christer Edmark, general manager of the Swedish telecoms equipment supplier’s quality improvement solutions, said: "The expertise and broader product portfolio we are gaining are especially important as we move into third generation wireless systems, where planning, measurement and peformance management products are even more critical than in today's mobile networks."
