Compaq UK has sold Tandem Education to a management and training company, Spring Group, for an undisclosed amount.
Gareth Cadwallader, director of customer services for Compaq UK, said the sale reflected Compaq's policy of ensuring training services are carried out by specialist training companies.
"By joining forces with Spring, and moving our portfolio into the Spring catalogue, Tandem Education is now in a position to capitalise on Spring's resources and will continue to offer the highest quality Tandem training."
The deal includes a courseware licence agreement with Compaq in the US and a three-year exclusivity deal on offering Tandem training in the UK and Ireland. Most of Tandem Education's staff have been transferred to Spring.
