Mighty Cisco has invested money in a company called Persistence which has ORB based software which delivers faster database results.
Cisco said it had taken an equity share in Persistence because it had application server caching software it liked.
The Persistence software Cisco has an interest in is called Power Tier and that works with Java, Visual Basic, C and C++ as well as running on a number of different platforms.
The Power Tier product is set to arrive next month.
