Storage company Tandberg will ship its first DLTtape products next month, following an earlier deal with Quantum.
The company, which agreed to market Quantum?s full range of DLTtape products including drives, media and tape automation systems based on the DLTtape platform, will begin shipping products from December 14th.
Shipment of DLT Autoloaders, DLT Library and DLTtape media products will commence in the first quarter of next year.
The 20GByte/40Gbyte DLT4000 and 35Gbyte/70Gbyte DLT7000 products are targeted at mid-range computers, network servers, high-end workstations and mainframe environments running under Windows NT, NetWare and Unix operating systems.
Both products are available as internal and external drive kits as well as complete solutions.
