UK Web consultancy Commercenet is offering to create fully-functional Ecommerce sites for small businesses, costing from #2,500 upwards, claiming that it would take only a week to set up. Commercenet will host the site on Cable and Wireless' WebCommerce system, which was designed and implemented by Commercenet using OpenMarket's high-end Transact Ecommerce software.
The site will be fully transactional and secure, the company claims. "It offers businesses the opportunity to test the Internet commerce waters without making huge investments," said Neil Joliffe, director at Commercenet.
"We develop compelling Web sites that are easy to use and we then host those sites and support them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."
