Alan Sugar appears ready to launch a bid to take control of computer firm Viglen Technology after increasing his shareholding of the former Amstrad spin-off.
Amshold, a company wholly-owned by Sugar, has increased its stake in Viglen from 34 to 42 per cent, a level at which it is now obliged by City regulations to make a bid for the rest of the company.
