British Telecom, Deutsche Telecom, France Telecom, Singapore Tel and Nippon Telephone and Telegraph (NTT) are to join the Universal ADSL Working Group next week. The goal of the group, which is led by Compaq, Intel and Microsoft, is to deliver high speed modem communications over existing phone lines.
