Oracle is adding to its applications portfolio with the purchase of a computer telephony supplier, Versatility, for $12 million in stock. Versatility's call centre capabilities will be added to Oracle's Front Office applications.
Versatility specialises in computer telephony integration services, including customer care and telesales applications for intelligent call routing, predictive dialing, third party call control, coordinated call transfers, and screen synchronisation.
Oracle's intention is to add Versatility's outbound telesales and telemarketing functionality to its inbound service call centre application.
