Would you trust a computer to find the best applicant for a job? More than a dozen UK companies already have. US developer Resumix has developed a software program that claims to be able to find your ideal job candidate.
The system assesses CVs, produces a ranked list of suitable applicants and automatically sends out rejection letters to those unsuccessful. According to Resumix, the system is far more complex than just matching key words and phrases - it actually has the ability to work out an applicant's personality traits from the information on the CV. Resumix names IBM and Disney as among its US customers, but didn't identity the UK firms using it. That's a bit scary. The next time you apply for a new job, you never know who or what might be assessing your suitability.
