Cable & Wireless is offering a managed virtual private network for multinationals.
The telco said the service does away with having to deal with different carriers in each country as Cable & Wireless will coordinate the network from its offices around the world.
Called Global Intelligent Virtual Private Network, the service will cover 90 per cent of the international market including UK, US, Hong Kong, Japan, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Italy.
The telco's integrated cable and telecomms unit called Cable & Wireless Communications has also launched a hosted Internet platform. Named Secure Internet Service it is protected by firewalls and the network is continuously monitered by the comms firm.
