Microsoft is working with Apple Computer to create a Java Virtual Machine (JVM) for the Macintosh operating system. While analysts said the deal would make Microsoft's JVM a default standard for most desktops, Amy Porter, JavaSoft's European marketing manager, exclaimed: "Microsoft gave Apple $150 million, so it has to toe the line.
