The Object Management Group (OMG) has ended uncertainty over which standards body will produce specifications for a bridge between its Corba-based object request broker and the Open Group's Distributed Computing Environment, by issuing a request for proposal for the technology. The OMG is looking for software that will enable both environments to interact with each other at both client and server level and to ensure that Corba Services can be implemented using DCE services.
