Reports that 13 US states are preparing to file an antitrust suit against Microsoft, seeking an injunction to block the sales of Windows 98, comes at a time when the Department of Justice is expected to file further legal action, following its investigation into alleged unfair practices by the software giant.
The states? lawsuit is expected to allege that Microsoft has positioned Windows 98 in such a way as to extend its monopoly in to the Internet browser sector.
