Any developer or administrator can manage any Web site using Netmanage's Intrachange Web Management System. The company claims Intrachange is the first collaborative environment for contributors, administrators and developers to work on corporate Web sites.
The basis of the new product is a middleware technology called Intrachange Desktop, which provides distributed access and coordination across five main Intrachange services - content management based on views; Web-centric archiving and versioning; cross-platform publishing; distributed administration and security; and tools integration. All these have been built specifically for Web content and applications. The last of these features enables users to continue using their preferred third party Web development tools.
A Web Warehouse is also included, which stores all documents and applications that are created for publication on live Web sites. This software can work with most SQL databases for storage.
Web developers and managers access Intrachange from a Lan using Desktop or from a Web browser.
