Mobile and PC card manufacturer, Xircom saw its first quarter net income leap to $9.8 million from $2.4 million a year ago. Revenue increased 83 per cent to $90 million.
During the quarter, which ended 31 December, Xircom licensed the Ericsson GSM digital wireless data interface for inclusion in its products and opened an office in Tokyo.
