ERP vendor Baan has announced first wave of middleware, tools and partners for BaanConnect to assist integration of BaanSeries and other products with Baan. The company believes integration accounts for 30% of the total cost of a typical ERP implementation. BaanConnect employs more than 60 people at sites in the US, the Netherlands and India. BaanConnect will act as the technology centre for all integration activities, building and deploying best-of-breed middleware and tools. Baan has also announced Baan Migration Packages to assist uses of legacy Baan technology take advantage of features in newer versions of BaanERP applications.
