Netobjects has upgraded its intranet authoring suite to enable companies to both build and manage their intranets.
Netobjects Authoring Server Suite 3.0 has an authoring server at its core and includes an administrator module, the Teamfusion client and a Java based content contributor.
The upgrade will give Web developers and power users the option to publish from corporate databases while allowing other users to publisher more simplified content from desktop applications.
Netobjects claims the upgrade will improve enterprise performance dramatically by supporting a higher number of users concurrently on the server whilst reducing the amount of resources per user.
Netobjects Authoring Server Suite 3.0 is available immediately. A Microsoft Frontpage connector that allows users to deploy their Frontpage Web pages on the intranet will be available within 90 days. A base configuration, one authoring server and two concurrent client capacity, will be priced at $1,585 in the US.
